Maths Week Ireland, 2023
As part of our celebration of Maths Week, homework will be slightly different this week. Instead of each child getting written Literacy and Numeracy activities, we have collated a family resource pack. This is full of practical ideas to help your child develop their mathematical thinking, language and understanding whilst hopefully also having fun. We suggest that you complete these as a family, so if you have more than one child in different classes, try an activity that all can do together. We know you won't get all of these activities done and they are not set out in a particular order for them to be completed, just choose one that fits your family. Photos of your child completing some of the tasks can be sent to the class teacher via Seesaw.
Don't forget about The Great Maths Off on Friday- we're looking forward to seeing as many children as possible using their knowledge of weight to create their Showstoppers! Again, if you have more than one child, a family entry is absolutely fine.
Each family will receive a paper copy of the Family Maths Ideas, but we have uploaded a digital copy here too.
